VANCOUVER, British Columbia, May 1, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- As a result of a minor typographical error found in the "Financial and Operating Highlights" section which accompanies its first quarter 2007 financial statements, Pan American Silver Corp. (Nasdaq:PAAS) (TSX:PAA) (the "Company") today refiled on SEDAR its first quarter 2007 Interim financial statements, as originally filed on April 30, 2007.
The error contained in the April 30, 2007 filing was found on page 3 under the heading "Mine Operating Highlights -- La Colorada Mine" within the table labeled "La Colorada Mine" at line item 6, where "Copper metal -- tonnes" should be replaced with "Gold metal -- ounces." In addition, with reference to the same line item 6, under the column heading "Three months ended March 31, 2006," "7.53" should be replaced with "753." There were no changes to the Company's first quarter 2007 financial statements.
