Stallion Adds Man-Camps in Alaska's Prudhoe Bay and Expands Solids Control Services in the Rockies

HOUSTON, June 6, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Stallion Oilfield Services Ltd. announced the acquisition of six man-camps serving Prudhoe Bay and other areas in Alaska from Rowan Drilling Company, Inc. The acquisition marks the Company's entry into the man-camp business and will enable the Company to provide another accommodation solution for its customers. In remote locations, providing housing for workers is a necessity for drillers and operators.

"Being able to provide a full compliment of solutions to our customers from wellsite accommodations to man-camp facilities will enhance our ability to offer our customers a one stop solution for their wellsite and logistics needs," commented Craig Johnson, Stallion's chief executive officer. "We plan to expand these capabilities into our other operating areas in the lower 48 and internationally."

Stallion also announced that it has completed the acquisition of Fluid Processors, Inc. and L.E.G. Rentals, Inc.; both located in Riverton, Wyoming. Fluid Processors and L.E.G. provide solids control services and equipment rentals to drillers and operators in the active Rocky Mountain area.

"These acquisitions expand our solids control service offering into one of the most exciting geographic areas for land-based drilling in the United States today," declared Hill Dishman, Stallion's chief operating officer. "We already have a large customer base in the Rockies and now we will be able to provide them with more of the products and services they need before, during and after drilling operations. The management team of Mike and Sam Linden will continue to oversee the business which will operate as Stallion Solids Control."

Solids control systems are utilized to remove drill cuttings and other material from drilling fluids for reuse and in facilitating and minimizing the disposal of drilling waste. Besides the pressure to realize operational cost efficiencies, operators are facing more stringent environmental legislation to minimize drilling waste. Stallion offers the usual solids control equipment as well as closed-loop and dewatering systems which help drillers comply with the stricter regulations and improve drilling efficiencies.
