"The art of Oakley is inspired by those who defy limits," commented Oakley, Inc. President Colin Baden. "HOLESHOT(tm) is a nod to those who challenge speed, embrace risk and redefine what the world thought was possible."

"We sought to capture the mechanical beauty of racing machines," Baden continued. "Details of HOLESHOT(tm) are inspired by the power and grace of precision engineering that gives form to raw horsepower. It's a high-octane blend of science and art, and a salute to the velocity of innovation."

Two editions of HOLESHOT(tm) are available. The first includes a six-hand analog display with a chronograph that offers the ability to measure cumulative time, intermediate time and split time to a tenth of a second. The second is a reduced-scale version with a three-hand analog display.

Both versions of HOLESHOT(tm) are made with a durable stainless steel case, impact forged under thousands of tons of pressure, and then finished with Computer Numeric Control (CNC) machining. A comfortable band of Oakley Advanced Unobtainium(r) rubber, sculptured with sport-inspired styling and reinforced with a high-strength 3-D internal structure, is bolted to a matte honed finish casing. Pure sapphire, the hardest crystal utilized in watch making, is enhanced with a permanent coating that helps prevent reflections from obscuring the display.

A dual-seal crown protects the case against water pressure equivalent to 330 feet (100 meters) beneath the surface. Both editions of HOLESHOT(tm) feature luminous phosphors on the minute and hour hands to improve viewing in low-light environments, plus a mechanical date display that can be read at a glance.
