A class action has been filed in Florida against American Home Mortgage Investment, Corp. (NYSE:AHM) and Citigroup Global Markets, Inc. and certain officers and directors of AHM.

The lawsuit charges that defendants violated the federal securities laws by offering common stock to the public in an offering underwritten by Citigroup Global Markets, Inc. via false and misleading offering materials. The offering took place on May 4, 2007. This suit is on behalf of all purchasers of AHM stock in that offering. The original issue price on May 4, 2007 was $23.10 per share.
Plaintiff seeks to recover damages on behalf of himself and all other similarly situated buyers of AHM stock in that offering. Excluded from the Class are the defendants and members of their immediate families, any entity in which a defendant has a controlling interest and the heirs of any such excluded party.
