Buy.com Refuses to Sell O.J. Book Out of Respect for Victims

ALISO VIEJO, Calif., Aug. 21, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Buy.com(r), the Internet Superstore(tm), today announced that it also will not stock O.J. Simpson's new book "If I Did It," the hypothetical account of the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, out of respect for their families. In addition, the company will not be taking any special orders for Mr. Simpson's new book.

Buy.com has one of the largest book catalogs available on the Internet with more than 1 million books offered, but this book will not be one of them.

"The book was written in bad taste, and does not honor the memories of those that were impacted by this tragedy," said Jeff Wisot, vice president of marketing, Buy.com. "We do not plan to profit from these victims."
