Wavestream Continues Sales Force Expansion With Addition of Marty Chavez as Vice President Regional Sales

Chavez to Spearhead Sales Initiatives for Wavestream in Southwestern U.S., Alaska and Western Canada


SAN DIMAS, Calif., Oct. 29, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Wavestream (www.wavestream.com), a manufacturer of compact, highly efficient solid-state power amplifiers, today announced that the company has appointed Marty Chavez as Vice President Regional Sales. In his new position, Chavez will lead the company's sales activities in the Southwestern United States, Alaska and Western Canada. He will report directly to Klaus Beecker, Wavestream's Executive Vice President - Markets, and will be based out of Phoenix, Arizona.

Chavez brings more than 20 years of successful technical, operations and sales experience to Wavestream.

He most recently served as Director Sales, U.S. for Codan, where he was responsible for overseeing sales activities in the Western and Southern United States and Canada. Prior to his work with Codan, Chavez was a Strategic Accounts Director for Comtech EF Data, responsible for new business sales. Chavez also held positions with Radyne Comstream including Regional Sales Manager for three years and Senior Product Manager for three years. Chavez studied Business Administration and Computer Science at New Mexico State University.
