NASDAQ's Carpenter Moore Announces New Leadership for E&O Liability Practice

Names Ted Doolittle Global E&O Practice Leader and Mickey Estey Managing Director


SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 8, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Carpenter Moore, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. (Nasdaq:NDAQ), today announced the addition of two veteran broker-executives to its Errors & Omissions (E&O) Liability Practice. Effective November 5, Ted Doolittle is named Managing Director, Global E&O Liability Practice Leader, while Mickey Estey joins as a Managing Director. Both executives have a specialization in insurance solutions for the rapidly expanding privacy and security issues confronting companies today.

These senior brokers have returned to Carpenter Moore, where they had worked for a number of years until 2005-6, after brief tenures with another insurance brokerage. They will be based in San Francisco, addressing the E&O insurance needs of Carpenter Moore's clientele.

They join a team of more than 70 expert professionals devoted exclusively to executive liability risk management solutions, operating in a collaborative "think tank" environment that drives cutting-edge intellectual property, coverage analyses, and claims advocacy, and which underscores a top-quality unique business model that includes partnerships with key regional brokerages worldwide.

Practice Leader Ted Doolittle has over a decade of executive liability experience, specializing in E&O programs across all industries and has been deeply immersed in the technology E&O marketplace. Ted has earned accolades for his in-depth knowledge of the industry, attention to client needs and creativity. He has advised clients ranging from private companies to those listed in the Fortune 100, helping them to obtain technology E&O and cyber-liability coverage. He has expertise in other E&O lines, including Real Estate, Consulting, Mortgage Banking /Brokerage, and Telecommunications. Prior to returning to Carpenter Moore, Ted spent over two years as a Principal and National E&O Practice Leader with Integro Insurance Brokers. From 1997-2005, he was a broker with Carpenter Moore Insurance Services. In addition to being selected in 2007 as a Power Broker in the Technology-General category by Risk & Insurance(r) magazine, he has an M.A. in Education and a B.A. in History from the University of California Santa Barbara.

Managing Director Mickey Estey has eight years of brokerage experience advising complex and high profile companies on Professional Liability/E&O and Privacy/Security insurance solutions. He has helped develop comprehensive and innovative E&O programs for companies in numerous industries, including Construction, Technology, Real Estate, and other professional consultancies.

Like Ted Doolittle, Mickey has returned to Carpenter Moore, where he was a Senior Broker from 2000-2006, after having worked over a year as a Senior Associate with Integro Insurance Brokers. Prior to embarking upon his insurance career, he spent seven years as a Structural Engineer focused on design and development of several multi-million dollar projects in California, where he is a licensed Professional Engineer and a member of the Structural Engineers Association of California.

A graduate of Walla Walla College with a B.S. in Civil Engineering, Mickey is a contributing member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS).
