Michigan Hispanic Chamber Hosts Legacy Awards December 6


SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Nov. 28, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- The Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (MHCC) will again stage the Legacy Awards Reception on December 6 at the newly renovated Detroit Institute of Arts, 5200 Woodward Avenue Detroit, MI 48202 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The Awards Reception is sponsored by Comerica Bank, DTE Energy and General Motors.

The Legacy Awards Reception on honors Chamber supporters. This year, awards will be given to businesses and individuals who throughout the year have given their loyal support to the Michigan Hispanic Chamber.

The honorees and their categories are:

  * Outstanding MHCC Member of the Year - Small Business: PALs

Also to be recognized are six high school students receiving scholarships from the Michigan Hispanic Fund, the Chamber's non-profit arm dedicated to business education and scholarship.

Other member networking events include the annual Fiesta Hispana, MHCC Golf Outing, Tercer Jueves (Third Thursdays), Circulo de Negocios (Circle of Business) Business Roundtables and several business-related seminars.

The Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, established in 1989, is a non-profit business organization consisting of over 300 member companies from corporate, small, medium and large businesses, sole proprietors and individuals representing Hispanic-owned enterprises, automotive OEM's, Tier One suppliers and non-automotive Fortune 500 corporations.
