The new software version marks the delivery of the next phase of DATAllegro's grid technology and supports various management and integration processes for enhanced ease-of-use.

- New query history management and reporting tool
- Added support for user space quotas
- SSL support to enhance security for in-flight data

- Support for scripting languages PHP and Perl
- Partition management to facilitate rolling partitions
- Support for Ingres version 9.1
- Enhanced integration support for Ingrian and RSA encryption key management
- Support for UTF-8/Unicode, an industry standard character encoding that supports a broad range of international characters
- DASQL command line interface, used for automating the ETL process from an existing system into a DATAllegro appliance
DATAllegro's DASQL batch client also operates as part of a recently-released suite of utilities that allow customers to easily move data to and from Teradata data warehouses and to migrate from Teradata to DATAllegro or augment a Teradata system with a DATAllegro appliance. Customers are already using the utilities suite in conjunction with grid technology to build hub-and-spoke architectures to enhance or replace existing Teradata installations. Hub-and-spoke architectures allow customers to benefit from the speed and performance of independent data marts, coupled with the data governance of a centralized data warehouse.
