Scottish Seafarms Ltd has in consortium with Hjaltland Seafarms U.K. Ltd agreed on acquiring fish farming facilities for Atlantic salmon from joint administrators of No Catch Group. Facilities are situated in Shetland. The acquired assets do not change Scottish Seafarms' forecasted harvest-volume for 2008. The acquired assets will lead to better biological conditions for Scottish Seafarms' current operations in the Shetland area, as well as improving Scottish Seafarms' potential for increased harvest volumes in the future.
SalMar ASA and Lerøy Seafood Group ASA own 50 % of Scottish Seafarms Ltd respectively through Norskott Havbruk AS.
