PIMCO Strategic Global Government Fund, Inc. Declares Monthly Dividend of 6.5 Cents Per Share


NEW YORK, June 13, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- The Board of Directors of PIMCO Strategic Global Government Fund, Inc. (the "Fund") (NYSE:RCS), a closed-end management investment company whose primary objective is to generate a level of income higher than that generated by high-quality, intermediate-term U.S. debt securities, with a secondary objective of seeking to maintain volatility in the net asset value of its shares comparable to that of high-quality, intermediate-term U.S. debt securities, announced today that it has declared a dividend of $0.065 cents per share.

The dividend will be payable on July 10, 2008 to shareholders of record on June 30, 2008, with an ex-dividend date of June 26, 2008.

As previously announced, commencing in July 2008, the Fund's monthly dividend will be declared on the first business day of each month and paid on the first business day of the following month.
