Electric Moto Corp. Announces Appointment of Abbie Zands to COO

ASHLAND, Ore., Aug. 12, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Electric Moto Corp., Inc. (Pink Sheets:EMOT), a U.S.-based designer, manufacturer and retailer of highly efficient electric battery-powered motorcycles, scooters and ATVs, today announced the appointment of Abbie Zands as Chief Operations Officer, effective immediately.

Mr. Zands is an early-stage Electric Moto investor and has been increasingly involved with the strategic decision making process at the company over the past 12-24 months. He brings with him a vast pool of knowledge and experience in electrical vehicle development, brick & mortar and online sales and distribution channel marketing.

After a lengthy search for a qualified COO, Mr. Zands was chosen for a number of reasons including his aggressive and well-educated business persona, his in-depth understanding of the company's business model and personal track record of past successful business ventures.

Commenting on today's announcement, newly appointed Electric Moto Corp. COO Abbie Zands stated, "It is the dream of every investor to some day take the reigns at his or her favorite publicly traded company. Over the past few years, I have invested a significant amount of both my own personal capital and spare time in Emoto and have always been a firm believer in the company's future potential. In addition, I am very pleased to say that my skill set has matched up perfectly with what the company aspired to attain with the hiring of its next COO."

Mr. Zands concluded, "This is a very exciting time for Electric Moto as our initial Blade XT demo bikes begin shipping to both the North American and European markets while development efforts for future products ramp up significantly. By taking over the day to day activities of COO, our newly appointed CTC, Ely Schless, can now place sole focus on his world-renowned capabilities surrounding the development of innovative, electric vehicle technology. With a larger and more focused executive team now at the helm, I believe that Electric Moto Corporation is now far better positioned for expansion than it was just a few months ago. In closing, I am ecstatic to accept the position of COO and look forward to updating the public on our progress as developments unfold over the coming weeks."
