Cyber Gear Announces Go-Green.ae Features Dilip Rahulan as 'Green Hero'


DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, Nov. 5, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Go-Green.ae has selected Dilip Rahulan, a Green Conservationist as the 'Green Hero.'

Armed with a Mechanical Engineering degree from Cochin in Kerala, India, Dilip started his career in Engineering Consultancy. He turned an entrepreneur when he set up his own business in Zambia, then migrated to Australia, started operations in Kuwait and in 1999 came to Dubai, UAE to set-up Pacific Controls. His headquarter building is the first Platinum rated green building accredited by the US Green Building Council (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED) programme in the Middle East and sixteenth in the world.

Pacific Controls operates a state-of-the-art Central Command Control Centre that provides 24x7x365 days customer support by remotely monitoring customers' assets. The Command Control Centre provides remote monitoring and control of all electro-mechanical and security services at the customers' facilities, thus reducing operational and energy costs, and utilizing resources effectively.

According to Sharad Agarwal, CEO of Cyber Gear, the company that launched the 'Go Green Online' initiative, "Dilip was selected as the 'Green Hero' not only because of his passion for energy conservation, but also for his vision of harnessing solar energy for energy generation. His new venture, Solar Technologies FZE will be based in Dubai's Technopark where a 130 mega watt manufacturing plant will be set up in phase 1 of the project. Subsequently, Solar Technnologies plans to establish similar plants in China, Mexico and Bulgaria, which will increase the total production capacity to 1 giga watt by 2015."
