Critical Solutions' Alternative Energy Towers Perform Emergency Exercises At the Center for National Response

CLEVELAND, Dec. 16, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Critical Solutions Inc. (Pink Sheets:CSLI), the designer of renewable energy tower systems, reports that the Company's Titan and MOJO systems were successfully utilized in military and emergency response exercises at the Center for National Response in West Virginia.

Critical Solutions' towers were used to provide a comprehensive wireless infrastructure during four days of exercises. "Despite trying weather conditions, consisting of overcast skies, moderate wind and snow, the solar and wind powered communication towers performed without interruption," stated David Ramsburg of the West Virginia High Technology Consortium. The application was successfully deploying a common wireless broadband and MESH network infrastructure that supported a wide range of military information management functions, including command and control, decision-making assistance and mission analysis.

The Center for National Response is a flexible WMD training complex that provides multi-scenario exercises for the military or joint operations with military and first responders. These exercises were conducted utilizing new technologies in simulated battlefield conditions with the assistance of Special Operations Forces acting as evaluators. The exercises were sponsored by Tactical Network Topology (TNT), a collaborative effort between the United States Special Operations Command and the Naval Post Graduate School.

According to Pat Gallagher, President of Critical Power Solutions International, Inc., "Our mobile units are ideal for the global disaster recovery market, a billion dollar industry. The towers offer communications coverage and connectivity in circumstances where grid power and communication infrastructure are not available and/or have been diminished. Such circumstances arise from natural disasters such as hurricanes, tornadoes and ice storms as well as during terrorist attacks. We have the unique ability to rapidly deploy a communication platform that can be functional in minutes without reliance on the electric grid or fossil fuels. Our units comply with former Vice President's Al Gore's call for 100% renewable energy within 10 years."

The latest emergency response exercises were conducted by RespondComm, an initiative of the West Virginia High Technology Consortium Foundation and a National Institute of Justice-sponsored program, (www.wvhtf.org & www.respondcomm.com). To date, all previous exercises have been a resounding success with Critical Solutions' Titan and MOJO products, offering a reliable and efficient alternative to traditional powered communication towers. Recently the WVHTC's use of the Company's towers was highlighted in the news, a link can be found at:
