Sparisjóðabanki Íslands hf. has dismissed 37 employees and has appointed a new CEO


Since Sparisjóðabanki Íslands hf. was granted a license of financial
reorganization on 23 of March 2009, the bank has dismissed 37 employees. 35
employees are still working at the bank. 

Agnar Hansson has left his post as CEO of the bank. Furthermore, Ólafur
Ottósson the deputy CEO of the bank has also left his post. 

Sveinn Andri Sveinsson, previously managing director of Finance & Information
Technology, has been appointed as the new CEO of the bank.
