(Pink Sheets:PASO), a leading provider of healthcare/financial processing solutions for the healthcare, homecare and dental industries, announced today that LifeStar Response Corp., a network of locally and regionally branded emergency and non-emergency medical transport services, has selected the D-PAS digital pen program to facilitate maintenance reporting of their emergency and non-emergency vehicles throughout the LifeStar network.
LifeStar's ambulance and medical transportation services include basic and advanced life support (BLS and ALS) and specialty care transports (SCT). LifeStar provides emergency (911) and non-emergency medical transportation services to support the transportation needs of public and private sector emergency and non-emergency care participants.
LifeStar is currently licensed to provide these services in New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia, Alabama and Georgia. State certified emergency medical technicians, nationally registered or state certified paramedics and registered nurses staff the ambulance units.
Instituting the D-PAS program allows LifeStar's vehicle mechanics at each of their facilities to expedite maintenance and repairs on the 100s of vehicles that LifeStar has in their fleet. As the mechanics complete their repairs, the information, using the DPAS digital pen and paper, is automatically transmitted to the main office for processing.
