Sector 10, Inc.'s MRU Product Embraced by the Community at the Ceremonial Event on the Marina Green

BELLEVUE, Wash., Oct. 20, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sector 10, Inc. (OTCBB:SECI) (Frankfurt:4SR) announced that the unveiling of the Sector 10 MRU-FA product as part of the 20th anniversary commemoration ceremony of the Loma Prieta earthquake was a success and a favorite of event participants. The ceremony and training festivities conducted in San Francisco illustrated the importance that preparedness and self-sufficiency should be a #1 priority for any community.

The people of San Francisco along with their Neighborhood Emergency Response Teams (NERT) and the neighboring Community Teams (CERT) prepared and trained all day on the Marina Green. The training focused on dealing with the fact that first responders cannot address their needs after a disaster for 72 hours or 96 hours nationally (3 to 4 days) or more. This is a community that copes with experiences learned from past incidents as it prepares for a more certain future.

Company CEO Pericles DeAvila who was present at the ceremony and unveiling issued the following statement:

"San Francisco hospitality and conviction towards preparedness is unmatched. As a former resident of the area during the Loma Prieta earthquake coupled with my losses in another earthquake in 1980, I can sympathize and support San Francisco's community efforts in preparedness.

"A special thank you to our friends Jack McCloskey (who can tell a native son of San Francisco by lineage) and Mrs. Janice McCloskey aka St. Jan who played the roll of Lily Hitchcock-Coit at the ceremony (Lily is historically recognized as a supporter of the SFFD).

"I also want to recognize the city's NERT leaders, the Red Cross representatives, the County CERT members and the Reserve Fire Teams. Their discussions and comments regarding the applications of the mobile response units (MRU) in disasters throughout the day were very constructive. Sector 10 looks forward to working with you in addressing your needs!

"Sector 10 has made a commitment to providing all of you and all communities with state of the art survival equipment and tools needed to better address your needs during and post any incident. It is also our commitment to work with you and help with the financial structures to make such efforts possible for all of us in our communities."
