SGD Holdings, Ltd. Subsidiary EcoPaper, Inc. Advances Alliance With Converting Plant Owner/Major Eco-Products Distributor

VENTURA, Calif., Jan. 27, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- SGD Holdings, Ltd. (Pink Sheets:SGDH) wholly-owned subsidiary EcoPaper, Inc. announced today it has entered into an alliance with a major fiber converting plant owner, which it believes will advance EcoPaper, Inc.’s current converting options for mass market production of natural fiber value-added products.  Forming this alliance with a major converting group should dramatically increase product manufacturing, lower existing costs, and position natural fiber papers/products for sales into major international retail markets.  The company expects this alliance to increase profits and offer new international marketing options, which, until this point, have been uncommon within the emerging tree-free paper industry. Also, EcoPaper intends to sell its brand and offer eco-converting to other companies (promotional and retail) worldwide.

In addition, new distribution negotiations have been finalized with a major eco-products distributor with active markets in department stores, mass market chains, and other retail locations.  CEO, Harry Johansing comments, “We expect that this alliance will take our company to a new level and we anticipate receiving multi-million dollar purchase order(s) before the end of the 1st quarter 2010.”

About EcoPaper, Inc.

EcoPaper, Inc. is the first company in the history of the paper industry to create and market treeless paper of a superior quality. Every page of EcoPaper is smooth, acid-free, durable, chemical-free, and made in Costa Rica. EcoPaper, Inc. has developed an innovative and economically feasible option for the potential removal of 230,000 tons of agro-industrial waste that are dumped yearly in Costa Rica alone. The company's challenge is to invent new processes and create paper from exotic tropical fibers from waste materials in new textures and tones for consumers. The results of processing these exotic tropical fibers are items that both appeal to the consumer and positively impact the environment.
