Drs. Patricia Barnes and Donald Eckard were two of seven radiologists named to the "Best Doctors" list excerpted from "The Best Doctors in America" database which includes approximately 50,000 doctors in more than 40 medical specialties.

He has held a variety of radiology positions including instruction roles at the University of Kansas Medical Center, the University of Texas – Southwestern Medical Center and in the University of Virginia Health System.
