Compuware's Motor City Bike Ride to Support Danialle Karmanos' Work It Out

Riding From Campus Martius to Metro Beach -- and Back


DETROIT, Aug. 16, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Cyclists still have time to sign up for one of the exclusive excursions of the summer, Compuware Corporation's Motor City Bike Ride to benefit Danialle Karmanos' Work It Out (DKWIO).

The ride will take place Saturday, Aug. 28. Registration is limited to 150 riders.

Riders will raise funds for DKWIO, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit program that uses a holistic and yoga-based approach to deliver programming and wellness resources for kids and families.

Registration at Campus Martius begins at 7 a.m. Aug. 28; riders will depart at 8 a.m. There will be two break stops along the way, with lunch at the park between 11 a.m. and noon. After lunch, riders will travel back to Campus Martius Park for a celebration from about 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. that that will include a barbeque by the Hard Rock Café, activities for children, clowns and the Parade Company Big Heads.
