CLEAR Returns to Denver International Airport

NEW YORK, Nov. 30, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- CLEAR (www.clearme.com), the first and only biometric-based secure identification program for airport security, has returned to Denver International Airport (DIA).   CLEAR's exclusive and dedicated path to TSA screening lanes offers members speed and predictability using biometric identification kiosks.

All travelers originating at DIA will be able to take advantage of the CLEAR program. CLEARlanes are easily identified with a large blue CLEARcube. Members present their CLEARcard to a uniformed CLEAR attendant, verify their identity with their fingerprints or iris image, and head through to TSA screening.

Joining CLEAR is a simple two-step process. New members can first pre-enroll online at www.CLEARme.com. The second step is completed in person at a CLEARcube enrollment center where a CLEAR attendant guides the member through a quick scan of their passport and secondary photo ID, fingerprints and iris image. Members' CLEARcards then arrive promptly via mail days later.

CLEAR operates an enrollment center at DIA, on the south end of the south security checkpoint in the Jeppesen Terminal West.   Hours for enrollment at the airport are from 5am until 9pm daily.

In addition to the airport enrollment center, CLEAR has opened conveniently-located off-airport CLEARcube centers in Denver and Boulder with its partner Fuller Sotheby's International Realty. In Denver, new members may complete their enrollment at the Denver Tech Center office at 8400 E. Crescent Parkway, Suite 300, Greenwood Village.   In Boulder, the enrollment center is near the 29th Street Mall, at 1500 28th Street. Hours at both centers are Monday-Friday, from 8:30am until 5pm

Denver is the second market, after Orlando, for the new CLEAR which has relaunched with new owners and management after ceasing operations in 2009. CLEAR is now owned by Alclear LLC. Alclear principals Caryn Seidman-Becker and Kenneth Cornick serve as CLEAR's Chief Executive Officer and President, respectively.

"We're thrilled to bring CLEAR back and to re-launch in Denver," Ms Seidman-Becker said. "We look forward to working collaboratively with the DIA team to deliver a great CLEAR experience to Denver travelers."

CLEAR has committed to former members to honor the remaining terms of their membership, which will commence once CLEAR returns to their home airport or once they use a CLEARlane, whichever comes first.

Patrick Heck, Chief Financial Officer for Denver International Airport, said "We strive to offer travelers at Denver International Airport services and facilities that will make the airport experience better."

In Denver, CLEAR will work with HSS Inc., a leading provider of specialized security services to screen and train employees. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has awarded HSS SAFETY Act certification and designation for these services.

Membership costs $179 per year for unlimited use. A family plan is now available covering a second household member for an additional $50. All children under 18 can use the lane free of charge when accompanied by an adult member.

As an introduction for new members, CLEAR is giving a free month's membership with each new enrollment. Also, CLEAR has introduced a friend referral promotion where CLEARmembers receive an additional complimentary month's membership for each person who enrolls using their personal promotional code.
