Junior League of Orange County, CA Spring Fundraiser Offers Opportunity Drawing at Port Restaurant


NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Feb. 2, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Junior League of Orange County, Calif., (JLOCC) is holding a "Luck o' the Draw" Spring Fundraiser at the Port Restaurant & Bar, 440 Heliotrope Ave., Corona del Mar, starting at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 18. Admission is $25, which will include appetizers and a choice of two cocktails, or selected wine or beer.  Singer-songwriter Kevin Shima will perform with an acoustic guitar. One thousand opportunity drawing tickets also will be available for a price of $50; the winning ticket will be drawn at the event at 7:45 p.m. for a Grand Prize of $10,000. Additional luxury prizes will be announced.

Opportunity drawing tickets and event tickets will be available at the Junior League headquarters, 5140 Campus Drive, Newport Beach, or from League members. According to event chair Stephanie Finn, all tickets must be turned in at the Junior League headquarters by 5:00 p.m., Thursday, March 17, or before the 7:45 p.m. drawing at the event at Port Restaurant to qualify for the Grand Prize. The winner does not need to be present. More information is available on the Junior League website www.jlocc.org or by calling 949-261-0823.

The JLOCC's members actively support the community through collaboration with other Orange County nonprofit organizations. This year the JLOCC's efforts are directed on behalf of the community in conjunction with groups including the Second Harvest Food Bank Backpack Program, Crittenton Services Connect Program, Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) Reading Program, Court-Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Emancipated Youth Program, Kinship Support Services Program, and the League's Bear Hugs and Bear Necessities Program. The JLOCC members also conduct done-in-a-day volunteer projects through Impact Orange County.
