Result and interim financial report for the year 2010


Preliminary unaudited Stumbras AB profit before taxes in the year 2010 subsided to LTL 19.24 million (EUR 5.57 million). Profit before taxes decreased by 30.4 % compared to LTL 27.65 million (EUR 8.01 million) in pre-tax profit during the year of 2009.

Stumbras AB sales in the year of 2010 amounted to LTL 100.34 million (EUR 29.06 million). Production sales decreased by 15.7 % compared to LTL 119.07 million (EUR 34.49 million) in sales during the year of 2009.

During 2010, Stumbras AB paid LTL 183 million in taxes to the Lithuanian state budget (LTL 255 million in 2009).

According to Česlovas Matulevičius, General manager of Stumbras, during the year of 2010, company paid great attention to modernization and renewment of its production base, material equipment and main product lines.

In the end of 2010, with investments of around LTL 4,8 million, Stumbras renewed its “999” bitters product line. „999“ family packaging design was entrusted to internationally known British agency „Claessens International“. The agency is specializing in alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages brand consulting and design industry for 25 years.

In 2010, Stumbras also invested in culture projects. In July, record-size layout to commemorate the 600 the Anniversary of Žalgiris Battle was created in the Lithuanian national museum. The layout was developed by joint initiative of the Institute of Lithuanian History and Stumbras AB.
