The military community has been asking for better food and beverage choices in the vending machines on base and, in response to this demand, the Army-Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) has installed two machines at the Passenger Air Terminal. Additional machines can be found at the Base Commissary and at the Adult Education Center.
One feature especially appreciated is the ability for product consumption to be tracked. Each time a customer selects a food or drink item it's recorded and transmitted to the local Fresh Healthy Vending business owner, Michael Bloom. Bloom says, "If an item isn't doing well I can replace it with another of the more than 400 choices available.
