Drs. Jerod Loeb and David Nash to Anchor Sessions at GetWellNetwork Annual User Conference

Speakers Will Challenge Attendees to Think in New Ways About the Role of Patient Engagement in Health Care Delivery


BETHESDA, MD--(Marketwire - Apr 11, 2011) - GetWellNetwork, Inc. today announced that health care leaders, Jerod Loeb, PhD and David B. Nash, MD, MBA will speak at the company's fourth annual GetConnected conference, being held from May 2-4, 2011 at the Gaylord National Hotel & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland. In addition, Emmy-award winning journalist Ms. Anne Ryder will give a special address based on her own experiences as a reporter and patient.

Dr. Loeb, Executive Vice President of The Joint Commission's Division of Healthcare Division of Quality Evaluation, will deliver a keynote session titled "Measuring Health Care Quality: Teaching an Old Dogma New Tricks." Attendees will hear about The Joint Commission's views and direction regarding patient-centered care and in particular, the importance and relevance of patient and family engagement in assuring quality patient care in hospitals.

New to this year's GetConnected conference is a C-level panel discussion moderated by Dr. Nash, sought-after for his expertise and leadership in the development and implementation of health care policies and, their impact on health care quality and safety. He is the founding dean of the Jefferson School of Population Health at Thomas Jefferson University. The panel discussion will explore the daily challenges and successes hospital executives are experiencing with patient engagement strategies using interactive patient care systems.
