EAU Announces System Purchase Agreement From Fonterra Co-Operative Group Ltd. and Fonterra Dairy Farm Company Limited

ATLANTA, May 4, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- EAU Technologies Inc. ("EAU" or "Company") (OTCQB:EAUI), a leading provider of electrolyzed water for high-volume, business-to-business applications, announced a purchase agreement with Fonterra Co-Operative Group Limited, New Zealand ("Fonterra") for a Dairy Drinking Water System to be used in a new 3,000 cow dairy in Yutian, China. Under the Agreement, EAU will provide and install an electrolyzing water system specially designed for producing Electrolyzed and Reduced ("ER") Drinking Water for dairy cows. EAU's Dairy Drinking water (marketed as "Empowered Water") has been shown in University Studies and commercial installations to increase milk production and feed efficiencies.

EAU has been developing this unique methodology and technology (patent pending) to produce large volumes of purified ER drinking water for the dairy industry. "We are extremely pleased to take this step with an international dairy company of Fonterra's stature. We are looking to this first system purchase to provide the springboard for a long and mutually rewarding relationship with Fonterra," said Wade Bradley, President and CEO of EAU.

Why China? When discussing Fonterra's position during an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Fonterra Chief Executive Andrew Ferrier said," We know that we are not going to be able to feed the opportunities in growth in dairy out of New Zealand. There isn't space for that. So as we talk to customers about their needs, we see they are looking for safe healthy milk in the fastest growing economies. (That's) why we have gone into farming in China." (excerpt from Feb 22, 2011 WSJ) In addition to the new Yutian Dairy, Fonterra has an existing 3,000 cow operation in China.

In creating Empowered Dairy Drinking Water, well water is treated and run through EAU's state-of-the-art, high volume independent fluid production electrolysis generators, creating an alkaline and antioxidative water that closely matches the unique microbial ecosystem of a cow's rumen. This has been shown to increase positive bacterial fermentation, improving digestion and providing increased nutrition to the animal. Through controlled university studies, EAU has tested a variety of settings and water qualities, finding the optimal, tightly regulated ranges of pH and ORP (measurable antioxidant capability) thereby providing the most effective dairy drinking water solution.

This multiple process system for China will be manufactured in EAU's Kennesaw Georgia location and shipped to China for final installation by the end of the year. After installation, system operations and water production parameters will be remotely monitored via Internet connectivity on a 24 / 7 support basis.
