Season Two of Soy Tu Fan Returns to ONCE TV MEXICO in January Along With Premiere of Innovative Entertainment News Program Solorzano Tres Punto Cero and Television Version of Algarabia Magazine


MIAMI, Jan. 13, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ONCE TV MÉXICO, a unit of Instituto Politécnico Nacional, is starting the New Year with a bang, bringing back a second season of its popular and uniquely contemporary romantic comedy Soy Tu Fan (I'm Your Fan) on January 11, followed by the debut of innovative entertainment news series Solórzano Tres Punto Cero (Solórzano 3.0), on Friday, January 13 and the introduction of Algarabia, a fun series on word origination, on Friday, January 20.

Soy Tu Fan returns for a second season with 13 all-new episodes, the first of which will air on Wednesday, January 11 at 9p.m. Pacific/midnight Eastern on ONCE TV México's international broadcast feed.

In season two of Soy Tu Fan, Ana Claudia Talancón (who is also a co-producer of the series ) returns as Charly García along with Martín Altomaro as Nicolás Cruz. New cast members include Bruno Bichir (Conejo en la luna) as Charly's new potential love interest and Maya Zapata (El Mago).

Soy Tu Fan is an original idea by Dolores Fonzi, with Arturo Sampsom handling general production and Mariana Chenillo directing. In season two of Soy Tu Fan, the cast includes Gonzalo García Vivanco (as Diego Garcia), Johanna Murrillo (as Fernanda de la Peza), Juan Pablo Medina (as Iñaki Díaz de Olavarrieta), Marcela Guirado (as Ana), Camila Selser (as Nini) and Flor Edwarda Gurrola (as Vanessa), among others. Executive producers are Pablo Cruz and Constanza Novick (who also wrote the original script), with co-producers Jorge Mondragón, Gael García Bernal and Diego Luna.

An innovative, interactive and informative entertainment news series, Solórzano Tres Punto Cero (Solórzano 3.0), debuts on Friday, January 13 at 10p.m. Pacific/1am Eastern. Respected journalist Javier Solórzano hosts the series, putting an innovative twist on entertainment news by blending celebrity interviews on a myriad of topics with musical performances, input from viewers via social networks and lots of humor. Among its scheduled guests are Mexican comedian and voice actor Andrés Bustamante and singer Natalia Lafourcade; sports journalist Raúl Orvañanos, former footballer and TV sports commentator Roberto Gómez Junco and Andrés Marín. Members of indie rock band Chikita Violenta perform then Solórzano asks cartoonist and writer José Antonio García, improvisational actor Piolo Juvera, comedy script writer Marco Antonio Flota and actress and performance artist Astrid Haddad, "What makes us Mexicans laugh?"'

Celebrating ten years of Algarabia magazine, ONCE TV MEXICO brings the magazine to life with Algarabía, a fun and dynamic program that conveys both deep investigative exploration and a light communicative spirit in explaining the origin of popular words and phrases, as well as the myths and literary figures that fill our popular culture, beginning Friday, January 20, at 8:30p.m. Pacific time/11:30p.m. Eastern, on the network's international broadcast feed. 

Hosted by the magazine's director general María del Pilar Montes de Oca Sicilia, each episode of Algarabía mirrors the magazine with segments that blend science, the arts, history, literature, linguistics, and the most diverse manifestations of human culture.
