American International Industries, Inc. Announces Repurchase of 358,574 Shares of Common Stock Pursuant to Its Stock Repurchase Program


Houston & Kemah, Jan. 25, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- American International Industries, Inc. (OTCBB: AMIN) ("American" or the "Company") today announced that since its public release of its  plan to repurchase up to $1,000,000 of its outstanding shares of common stock from time to time, depending on market conditions, share price and other factors, which repurchases may be made on the open market, in block trades or otherwise and may be suspended or discontinued at any time, the stock repurchase program will be funded using the Company’s working capital, the Company has repurchased a total of 358,574 shares. 

Daniel Dror, Chairman and CEO, stated that "we are in the process of negotiating the repurchase of a large block of shares directly from an investor and our board of directors have determined that due to the present price of American’s shares, which have declined substantially and is below the approximately $1.20 book value per share, we will continue to repurchase additional shares of common stock pursuant to the repurchase program."
