Action Duct Cleaning CEO Elected to NADCA Board

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 13, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Dan Stradford, the chief executive officer of Action Duct Cleaning, has been elected to the board of directors of the National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA), the worldwide organization for HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) hygiene companies.

Action Duct, based in Altadena, California, and founded in 1978, has been a member of NADCA for 20 years, joining shortly after NADCA was created, and helped provide input to create the first national standard for duct cleaning.

After nearly 35 years in business, Action Duct continues to be one of California's largest duct cleaning companies, serving Fortune 500 companies, celebrities, government agencies and thousands of residential and commercial clients across the country.

"A lot of HVAC contractors have questions about the NADCA specifications they run into on jobs," said Stradford. "I am glad we will now be able to provide a direct link to NADCA to get their queries answered."

Established as a published author with several books and over 200 articles to his credit, Stradford was asked to serve as lead writer and editor for NADCA's 2012 "Position Paper on the Use of Chemical Products in HVAC Systems." Working with the Environmental Protection Agency, legal counsel, chemical product manufacturers, and other NADCA members, Stradford helped craft NADCA's official stance on the use of such materials.

He will be presenting the paper to the international membership in a speech at NADCA's annual gathering in San Juan, Puerto Rico in March 2012.

At the Puerto Rico convention, Stradford will also be doing a pre-release book signing of his newest book, The Men's Code of Honor: 66 Principles That Make a Man by Whisper Canyon Publishing (www.whispercanyon.net).

At the end of 2011, Stradford also helped the NADCA board of directors mold its five-year plan for international growth to maintain NADCA's place as the world's premiere HVAC cleaning organization.

"I am truly honored by this appointment to the board of directors," said Stradford. "I will do my best to serve the membership and to ensure that my company continues to embody NADCA's professional ethics and cleaning standards."
