New York, NY, March 9, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Inc. magazine, the only major business magazine created solely for CEOs of fast-growing, private companies, is now accepting applications for the Inc. 500|5000, the closely watched ranking of America’s fastest-growing companies. Applications for the 2012 list will be accepted at http://www.inc5000apply.com/ until April 30, 2012. To qualify, companies must be at least three years old, with 2008 revenues of at least $100,000 and 2011 revenues of at least $2 million.

Methodology

The 2012 Inc. 500|5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2008 to 2011. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2008. Additionally, they have to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent--not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies--as of December 31, 2011. The minimum revenue required for 2008 is $100,000; the minimum for 2011 is $2 million. As always, Inc. reserves the right to decline applicants for subjective reasons.
