A FREEBIRDS FOIL ART HISTORY

Foil art has been a part of the FREEBIRDS culture since the first Texas location opened in College Station near Texas A &M University in 1991. "A few guests and crew used their burrito wrappers as a creative outlet, making shapes out of them and leaving their mark in the restaurant," said FREEBIRDS kitchen supervisor and long time employee, Johnny Jacques. "Then it went sideways on us."

Today, every FREEBIRDS restaurant is strewn with foil art. It symbolizes personal expression and freedom of choice, both hallmarks of the FREEBIRDS brand.

ABOUT FREEBIRDS WORLD BURRITO

FREEBIRDS is about awesome burritos (plus burrito bowls, salads, nachos and more) and freedom of choice.   As guests join the queue, they are partnered with a team member, known as a "Roller," who helps them choose from four sizes of burrito – the Hybird, FREEBIRD, Monster and Super Monster - made from four possible flavors of tortilla. Burritos are then hand-rolled with the guest's personal selection from more than 40 freshly prepared ingredients including grass fed beef, hormone-free chicken, all natural pork carnitas, hand-cut veggies, hot peppers plus house made salsas, queso and guacamole.  Every FREEBIRDS restaurant features the concept's signature Statue of Liberty – affectionately known as 'Libby' – riding a custom-built motorcycle while breaking through the Freedom Wall. The restaurant has a free-spirited ambience with a rockin' soundtrack, reminiscent of a late-'60s rock 'n' roll roadhouse. It's Not Normal!®
