Interbrand Director Joins Ayzenberg Group

One of the US West Coast's Largest Indie Firms Snags Simon Ward, Former Interbrand Marketing Director, to Further Fuel Growth

PASADENA, Calif., April 18, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Ayzenberg Group today announced that Simon Ward, formerly of the world's largest brand consultancy Interbrand, will join the firm as director. He comes on board as Ayzenberg leverages its 18-year pedigree marketing entertainment, video games, toys and technology to youth to expand the scope of its business into other lifestyle brands.

"More and more, the methods with which we market to youth are influencing brands across the board," said Eric Ayzenberg, Chief Strategist and Chief Creative Officer, Ayzenberg Group. "At Ayzenberg, we're well-positioned to take advantage of this, with our many years of success and consistent growth in capabilities designed to reach the most elusive, ad savvy audiences. Simon brings ideal experience to help us in this regard, with his strong track record in brand consultancy and expertise in harnessing technology to drive brand growth."

Simon's appointment comes not only as Ayzenberg broadens its focus but also continues to expand its capabilities. Best known for video game advertising, including campaigns for some of the most successful game brands of all time, the firm continues to grow its resource of specialist integrated services. These range from pure advertising, media planning and social to digital, mobile and branded content.

"This firm has been on the cutting edge in both strategy and creativity, honed from years of responding to the challenge of marketing to youth and their parents," said Simon Ward, Director, Marketing and Business Development. "Recent addition to its firepower means Ayzenberg is in a great position to help clients in more sectors, and well beyond traditional ad campaigns."

In 2011 Ayzenberg seed funded [a]list games, a division that focuses on mobile, social and online games. Earlier this year it acquired The Social Method, merging their talent and proprietary analytics platform to bolster its social media services. Just this month, Ayzenberg expanded its broadcast and original content group with the addition of offices and a state of the art production and animation facility.

"I'm looking forward to being part of a very energetic and smart group of people and playing a part in sharing their approach with new clients," added Simon.

Simon's previous role was global business development director for Interbrand's technology division BrandWizard in New York. Prior to that, he served at Interbrand London, in-house at Lexus UK, and at Clark Hooper: BBDO.
