Oviedo Family Chiropractic Expands Office to Include Additional Services and New Technology

OVIEDO, Fla., April 26, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Dr. Eric Janowitz of Oviedo Family Chiropractic announced that his practice moved into a new, larger facility in March of 2012. The new facility is almost double in size now at 2,700 square feet and is now located at 1791 East Broadway Street in Oviedo, FL. According to Dr. Janowitz, the building has been designed to accommodate the expansion of chiropractic, advanced physiotherapy services, and massage services, as well the addition of new technologies like the Impulse iQ Adjusting Instrument. In discussing the new building layout, Dr. Janowitz stated that the facility is designed for a relaxed, healing atmosphere with optimal flow to help patients seek treatment in a time efficient manner. According to the Oviedo chiropractor, the new building layout creates a seamless process, from arrival to comprehensive treatments to departure that ensures visits typically only last twenty minutes for returning patients.

"We are so excited to welcome patients to our new facility," said Dr. Janowitz. "We designed our new, expanded space with the patient as the focus. For instance, rather than having a typical waiting room, we have a reception area where patients simply check in and move on to begin their therapy. We trimmed all the "fat" out of a doctor visit by making the most of every minute for our patient's healing."

The new Oviedo Family Chiropractic facility boasts Cervical Spine Restoration therapy, low back core exercises using specialized Wobble Chairs, 4 adjustment rooms, Digital X-ray equipment, a spinal decompression suite for disc related problems, and three private massage rooms. An exciting, unique addition to the practice is our Advanced Core Vibration studio. This studio will feature 10 stations where our patients can perform a full series of core strengthening exercises coupled with pulleys, mat exercises, and advanced vibration plates. This unique combination will enable our patients to get the added benefit equivalent to a 45 minute workout in only 15 minutes. Dr. Janowitz said, "We wanted to make getting the right care easy and a quick process for patients."

The Cervical Spine Traction is used by the Oviedo chiropractor to treat whiplash and other neck injuries. The chiropractor also has two insurance liaisons in the office, who are experienced in working with insurance companies. The office also has experience working with attorneys for car accident injury and workers compensation cases.

The Wobble Chairs, according to Dr. Janowitz, are often part of each patient's visit as they build core strength, rehydrate the discs and help naturally pump cerebral spinal fluid. There are 3 chiropractors on staff at the office and they manage the patient cases using a team approach. Dr. Janowitz noted that the practice also has clinical care managers on staff. These clinical care managers perform progress evaluations and are patient advocates to make sure the patients are always heard and that the goals of the patient are targeted. Whole body vibration plates in the new facility are used after each patient adjustment to 'lock in' the postural correction. The digital x-rays limit exposure for patients while providing faster results.

The new building also has private spinal decompression rooms and a unique Advanced Core Vibration studio for advanced core strengthening. The core strengthening exercises are supervised by two of the three spinal rehabilitation technicians in the office. Any massages recommended by the chiropractors can be performed in one of three new massage rooms. The massage therapy plans are physician supervised and have a spa-like touch with a therapeutic focus, said Dr. Janowitz.

Additionally, the chiropractic office has added the Impulse iQ Adjusting Instrument. The iQ Adjusting Instrument is a FDA registered medical device that precisely monitors spinal motion in real time during treatments. The iQ Adjusting technology incorporates a micro-chip computer that regulates treatments according to the patient's body. Dr. Janowitz will be utilizing this technology to treat conditions such as low back pain, whiplash, neck pain, headaches, carpal tunnel syndrome, shoulder pain, and plantar fasciitis.

When asked about the latest technological addition, Dr. Janowitz stated, "I am committed to staying current on the latest technological breakthroughs. We focus on treating the underlying conditions of a patient's pain and the recent technology is a tremendous part of that. We also focus on tailoring the treatment to the individual and the iQ Adjusting Instrument helps us to take that one step further."
