Schwarzenegger, Ventura, Carradine Lead the Action Packed Launch of the Hannover House DVD Multipacks Product Line

Sales for new multipack DVD product line targeted at $5-million

Los Angeles, CA, June 4, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Hannover House, Inc., (Pinksheets:  HHSE), will unleash the big-guns from its DVD film library with the August 4, 2012 release of "The Unexpendables Pack" assortment on DVD at only $14.95 suggested retail.  The three film collection contains "Beretta's Island" starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, "Abraxas:  Guardian of the Universe" starring Jesse Ventura, and "Black Ops: Predator Drone" starring David Carradine.  The "Unexpendables Pack" is the first of nine multipack DVD assortments from Hannover House, which will also include offerings in the family, horror, martial arts and Spanish product genres throughout 2012.

"Beretta's Island" was produced by world-renowned body-building superstar Franco Columbo, and directed by Michael Preece.  Arnold Schwarzenegger, Franco Columbo, Ken Kercheval and Elizabeth Kaitan are entangled in an international drug smuggling ring with an Interpol dragnet. The film was first released in the United States in 1994.

"Black Ops: Predator Drone" was produced by Morris Asgar and Hannover House C.E.O. Eric Parkinson.  The 1991 production was directed by H. Kaye Dyal, and also stars Drew Snyder and  international action-star Frank Zagarino.  When terrorists steal a military prototype predator drone, it's up to Carradine and Zagarino to find the hideout and reclaim the powerful weapon.

"Abraxas:  Guardian of the Universe" was produced by Damian Lee, David Mitchell and Curtis Peterson, and was directed by Lee.  The 1990 production features Jesse Ventura as an unearthly, alien policeman pursuing a fugitive that escaped to Earth.  The film also features Jim Belushi.

With over 170 titles available to Hannover House through its film library and distribution pacts, the company is well positioned to embrace the growing retail trend supporting thematically packaged, multiple title assortments such as "The Unexpendables Pack."  Key retailers, including Wal-Mart and Best Buy, are supporting multipack releases, and are slated to begin carrying selected Hannover House multipack offerings, starting in August.  While most of the multipack titles from Hannover House are expected to be priced at $9.95 suggested retail (with a consumer on-sale price of $5.00 per pack at key accounts), "The Unexpendables Pack" will be priced at $14.95 suggested retail due to the enhanced star-power of the assortment.

"We're very excited to launch a multipack product line with such a strong initial release," said Fred Shefte, President of Hannover House.  "Schwarzenegger, Ventura and Carradine are action-film stars of legendary stature.  This collection of three films should be an attractive and affordable must-buy for video collectors and movie buffs.  Based on initial sales commitments, this release is proving to be a solid launch for our new product line that we plan to expand with additional assortments throughout the remainder of this year," he concluded.

Multipacks have historically been an important component of the Hannover House DVD products line.  Previous multipack releases included:  "The Martial Arts Collection", "The Samurai Assortment", "Classic TV Comedies" and "Comedy Classics," released in 2004, which collectively sold over 1.2-million units at Wal-Mart, generating approximately $4-million in wholesale revenues. The company discontinued multipacks in 2005 due to shrinking margins of wholesale pricing as compared to a growing cost-of-goods at that time for the manufacturing of multiple film titles into the same packaging configurations.  Recent improvements in DVD compression and manufacturing technologies have significantly lowered the cost-of-goods component, making multipack assortments a profitable category once again for Hannover House.  The company's broad film library and title availabilities are ideally positioned to provide up to twenty assortment packs, of which nine are expected to be released prior to the end of 2012.  The release of multipack assortments is especially profitable to Hannover House due to the catalog status of the titles, and the limited need for marketing expenditures.
