"Toys in the Attic" is an award winning, stop-motion feature, directed by legendary Czech animator Jiri Barta;  the English adaptation was written, produced and directed by Vivian Schilling.  Production on the meticulously crafted film took place over a 3-year period under the supervision of Bio Illusion Films , Kratky Film, At Armz and Eurocine International.  "Toys in the Attic" will be released to theatres in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas-Ft. Worth, Washington, DC, Memphis and N.W. Arkansas commencing September 7th.

Principal voice talent in the film includes Academy Award winning actor Forest Whitaker (as "Teddy"), "Toy Story" alumnus Joan Cusack (as "Madame Curie") and "Princess Bride" hero Cary Elwes (as "Sir Handsome").  Other cast members include Vivian Schilling (as "Buttercup"), Emily Hahn (as "Andrejka") and conservative radio talk show host Douglas Urbanski (as the despotic "Head of State").  Cumulative USA theatrical box office revenues from past releases featuring the principal "Toys in the Attic" performers exceeds $3-billion (according to BoxOfficeMojo), the star-power for which Hannover House credits as a contributing factor in the high-level of consumer interest in the film.

"Toys in the Attic" was first presented to a U.S. Audience at the New York International Children's Film Festival, where it won grand prize last year in its original, Czech-language format (with English subtitles) The U.S. production of the English Adaptation was subsequently written, produced and directed by Vivian Schilling, who managed all aspects of the project from casting and recording to the design and creation of new opening and closing sequences.  Schilling recorded talent at Post Haste Studio in Los Angeles and BAM Studios in Chicago, with final mixing sessions occurring at Todd AO Studios in Santa Monica, CA.  Post-production mastering was performed at Modern VideoFilm in Burbank, CA.

A special encore-engagement will be held in New York on Saturday, August 25 at the IFC Theatre in New York City, sponsored by the New York International Children's Film Festival.  This special event screening will serve as an audience sneak-peek look at the English language adaptation, which has otherwise not been previously seen by the public.  A formal red-carpet premiere of the film is slated for Los Angeles during the week prior to the film's official launch.

"Toys in the Attic" will open with single screen exclusive engagements in New York (Regal Union Square) and Chicago (AMC South Barrington), with a mini-multiple break of nine-theatres in the Los Angeles metro area, one theatre in Memphis and two theatres in N.W. Arkansas.  Expansion dates begin immediately thereafter with mini-multiple engagements beginning Sept. 14 in Atlanta and Philadelphia, and more than 45 additional cities scheduled from Sept. 21 through October 25.
