Questcor is a biopharmaceutical company that markets and sells the prescription drug H.P. Acthar Gel. The company markets H.P. Acthar Gel as a treatment for Infantile Spasms, Multiple Sclerosis, Nephrotic Syndrome, and many other disorders. On September 19, 2012, the third largest insurer in the United States, Aetna Inc., announced that it would only reimburse for H.P. Acthar Gel as a treatment for infantile spasms, not for any of the other conditions. In addition, on September 24, 2012, Questcor disclosed that it was the subject of a governmental investigation involving the Company's promotional practices.
