ETM Manufacturing Expands Work with Associated Environmental Systems

Test Equipment OEM Selects Local Manufacturer for High-Quality, Scalable Sheet-Metal Production

LITTLETON, Mass., Oct. 23, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Associated Environmental Systems (AES), a leading test equipment original equipment manufacturer (OEM) named ETM Manufacturing, one of New England's fastest-growing manufacturers, as the sole outsource provider of components for a core line of test equipment.

AES, which serves many of the world's largest mobile device manufacturers, began work with ETM in August 2012. Based on immediate improvements to manufacturability and a sustainable ability to deliver world-class quality, AES expanded the scope of work to encompass production of two bench-top test chamber models.

As a competitive advantage, AES had long managed the entire supply chain - from design to manufacture and delivery - in-house. This approach allowed the company to set, measure and maintain the highest quality standards, ensuring that customers could rely on AES' test chambers time and time again. With demand exploding in core markets, the team at AES determined that - provided there was a partner who met their own exacting standards for quality - it was time to outsource some production. In a competitive process, AES looked for a partner with flexible capacity, a proven track record in applying lean manufacturing principles and well-established programs and processes for delivering the highest levels of quality,

"Our customers expect that our test chambers will support their goals for reliability and durability, eliminating any 'gotchas' well before the products hit the shelves," said Beran Peter, CEO of Massachusetts-based AES. "We needed a partner that would meet our rigorous quality standards and be able to ramp quickly without any loss of integrity - ETM was the one."

The win reflects ETM Manufacturing's ongoing success in attracting New England-based companies to its customer base. ETM's custom programs for sheet metal fabrication, machining and assembly provide a local source for large companies like computing giant EMC2 Corporation and start-ups like solar mounting system leader, Panel Claw and American Innovation Research Corp.,  all designed to deliver cost-effective, high quality products.

"We've continuously invested in processes and systems that make our production operations efficient, scalable and able to deliver the highest quality products consistently," said Rob Olney, president of ETM.  "Our approach is what attracts customers like AES, for whom quality is paramount - and allows us to grow our business with them."
