Charles Hensley, Ph.D., Inventor of Zicam(R) Cold Remedy, and Itonis Pharmaceuticals, to Add Nasal Swab Application of Anti-Nausea Product

IRVINE, Calif., Nov. 6, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Itonis, Inc. (OTC:ITNS) and Charles Hensley, Ph.D., the inventor of the Zicam® Cold Remedy, and founding member of Itonis Pharmaceuticals, are pleased to announce that Itonis Pharmaceuticals plans to offer nasal swabs as well as nasal spray to deliver its recently announced over-the-counter homeopathic nasal spray for the treatment of nausea.

The Company feels that consumer experience with the product will be enhanced by giving each consumer a choice of either a nasal spray or a nasal swab. Regardless of the mode of delivery, nasal application of the anti-nausea preparation is preferable over oral delivery, which is often difficult to tolerate for people experiencing nausea.

The nasal application of the anti-nausea preparation via spray or swab is expected to be more effective through the use of more tolerable ingredients. This anti-nausea offering has the advantage of avoiding oral ingestion while the consumer is suffering from symptoms of nausea. Plus, the preparation does not include zinc.

Dr. Hensley commented, "This is a win-win to offer consumers the option of a spray or swab to apply the anti-nausea preparation, and especially when they are suffering from nausea that would hinder any swallowing of medication."
