Industry Innovator Brings 'Big Picture' Vision and 15 Years of Applied Experience to Five Star Organization

DALLAS, Nov. 30, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Five Star Institute announced today that Robert D. Repass has joined the company as SVP of business development and associate publisher of MReport, a Five Star publication dedicated to the origination side of the mortgage business.

Though his primary focus throughout his career has been on loan servicing and sales and operation management, Repass' 15 years of experience cover the full gamut of housing finance, from loan production, underwriting, and compliance to risk management, loss mitigation, and secondary market acquisitions. He also has extensive experience in sales, marketing, lead generation, strategic planning, and P&L management.

Prior to joining the Five Star Institute, Repass was SVP at Bayview Loan Servicing where he managed all aspects of day-to-day operations for the company's Texas site, including loss mitigation, default administration, and call center management. Repass was with the Bayview organization for nearly 12 years in senior-level management positions within its residential lending, loan acquisitions, and loan servicing divisions.

Mark Hulme, chairman of the Five Star Institute, said, "Bob's colleagues, as well as former employees he supervised hold a tremendous amount of respect and appreciation for Bob, his work, and his ability to turn goals and ideas into real, tangible successes. We are privileged to have such a well-balanced and highly esteemed mortgage authority as part of the Five Star team."

Repass' long list of professional accomplishments include the creation and implementation of policy and procedures to achieve optimum growth potential at Bayview First Funding; the development of KPI metrics and reports for measuring operational success across all departments of Bayview Loan Servicing; growing Bayview's loan servicing operations from six employees at its inception to more than 70 dedicated team members within three years; complete P&L responsibility; and the successful launch of a new startup division at Associates Financial Services, managing its growth and development from the ground up.

"I am extremely excited about this next step in my career," Repass said. "It is my passion and desire to work together with our Five Star counterparties across the entire spectrum of the mortgage industry to help position them for maximum growth in 2013 and beyond."
