Brown College of Court Reporting to Host Open House on Saturday, February 23

Learn More About Becoming a Court Reporter and the New Paralegal Certificate Program


ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - Jan 28, 2013) - Brown College of Court Reporting, a leader in the field of court reporting with a national reputation for excellence, will host an open house on Saturday, February 23, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to introduce prospective students to the roles of court reporter and paralegal. A new paralegal certificate program will start at Brown College of Court Reporting on April 1. The open house is free but attendees should RSVP by calling (888)601-9018 or registering at http://bccropenhouseevent.eventbrite.com/%23#. Brown College of Court Reporting is located at 1900 Emery St., NW, Suite 200, Atlanta. 

During the open house, attendees can meet faculty and students, and attend a presentation about financial aid. Additionally, a court reporter will discuss the legal profession and share career experiences. There will also be realtime demonstrations of voice writing and stenography.

The Department of Labor projects that through 2020, the demand for court reporters is expected to grow 14 percent, and 18 percent for paralegals and legal assistants. Brown College has been the starting point for many successful court reporters since it was founded in 1972, providing students with skills that are in high demand and by offering a high placement assistance rate.
