Rob Hoxton and Julia Connell Named to Best Financial Advisors for Doctors List Compiled by Medical Economics

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va., March 13, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Rob Hoxton CFP®, AAMS, AIF®, founder and CEO of HFI Wealth Management, Inc., was named one of the Best Financial Advisors for Doctors by Medical Economics magazine. Hoxton was the only financial advisor on the list from the state of West Virginia. His colleague, Julia Connell CFP®, MBA, MSFP, Chief Financial Officer and Senior Wealth Advisor at HFI Wealth Management, was also named to the prestigious list in the State of Virginia.

According to Medical Economics, the financial advisors were chosen because they have substantial experience in the industry and have the skill set necessary to help doctors prioritize their goals, create diversified portfolios and save for a brighter future. Most of the financial advisors, who made the list, have a minimum of 10 years of experience and have also worked extensively with doctors. "It's an honor to be chosen for this respected list," says Rob Hoxton, who has worked for many years with a multitude of physicians in the region.

Financial advisors were chosen based upon their certifications, good standings with both the Securities and Exchange Commission and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, fee arrangements and minimum portfolio requirements. Candidates were also asked to provide documents demonstrating their credentials, educational background, experience in the field, size of the firm, minimum portfolio requirements and other important professional achievements.

Oftentimes, doctors face specific challenges and not every financial advisor has the skillset necessary to properly help these physicians. Medical Economics identified financial advisors around the country and created their 2012 list of Best Financial Advisors for Doctors to help physicians achieve their future financial goals.
