Photo Release -- GovDelivery Awarded UK Government G-Cloud III Contract

GovDelivery Adds New Digital Solution to CloudStore to Help Public Sector Organisations Drive Channel Shift and Realise Efficiencies and Cost Reductions

LONDON, May 15, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- GovDelivery, the leading provider of public sector digital communications solutions, announced today that it has been awarded a G-Cloud III contract. As the Government Procurement Service expands its catalogue of services, GovDelivery is pleased to add its Transactional Messaging Service (TMS) solution to the G-Cloud programme. Over 55 UK government organizations have implemented GovDelivery Digital Communication Management (DCM), which was made available through the G-Cloud catalogue last year. This recent addition of GovDelivery TMS to G-Cloud underscores the company's position as an international leader in government-to-citizen communication solutions.

Launched in 2012, the government first proposed the G-Cloud initiative to bring a wider range of suppliers to the public sector market while increasing the flexibility of procurement contracts. The programme aims to create an online system for public sector organisations to locate services and supplies without the restriction of lengthy contracts and complex procurement. GovDelivery's DCM and TMS offerings deliver targeted, multichannel communication solutions designed specifically for the public sector.

"Transactional messaging has become a critical, and sometimes daunting, requirement within UK public sector organisations, following the recently released Government Digital Strategy," said Dave Worsell, Director, Government Solutions at GovDelivery UK. "With GovDelivery's focus on helping the public sector transform government-to-citizen interactions and driving citizen satisfaction while managing budget constraints, our TMS solution is uniquely positioned to help government organisations meet this requirement. We're honoured that GovDelivery TMS was selected to join other leading cloud-computing solutions included in the G-Cloud catalogue."

Many organisations still post printed documents for regular, transactional communications that drive business processes with stakeholders, such as tax statements, payment instructions and appointment reminders. GovDelivery recently published a white paper titled, "Modernise Transactions with the Public: Digital Delivery of Government Messages & Statements," which identifies the various costs associated with transactional messages and guides government departments through the process of moving them online to realise significant cost savings. The white paper also shares tips and best practices to help other public sector agencies make this transition and reap the same significant cost savings and efficiencies that GovDelivery clients have already achieved by implementing TMS, which is built on a scalable and secure email infrastructure that supports more than 550 government entities worldwide, including GOV.UK, Met Office, Driving Standards Agency, Highways Agency, Parliament, Department for Health, and over 20 local authorities, including Central Bedfordshire, Southampton, Suffolk and West Sussex.
