Informatica World Attendees Take Time Out to Support Education Programs for at Risk Youth

Attendees Pack Backpacks for Title I HOPE and Mentor Youth for Jobs for America's Graduates

Informatica World, Las Vegas, June 6, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Informatica Corporation (Nasdaq:INFA), the world's number one independent provider of data integration software, today hosted members of Title I HOPE and Jobs for America's Graduates (JAG) from the Clark County School District at the 13th annual Informatica World conference. Employees and conference attendees assembled more than 1,000 backpacks for homeless youth identified in the Title I HOPE program and led a mentoring session with high school students involved with Jobs for America's Graduates. The activity was part of Informatica Involved, the company's corporate citizenship program. Informatica is passionate about social issues in the areas that employees live and work as well as the global community. One of the main areas of focus for the program is on education and supporting institutions and nonprofit organizations that address student needs and programs that foster learning and positive youth development.

Jobs for America's Graduates is a dropout prevention, school-to-career, dropout recovery program to serve young people that are at great risk of staying in school through graduation, pursuing a postsecondary education or securing a quality entry-level job that leads to career advancement opportunities. Since its founding in 1980, JAG state organizations and local affiliates have served over 800,000 young people with major barriers to success.

Title I HOPE (Homeless Outreach Program for Education) provides educational support and eliminates barriers to school enrollment for homeless and unaccompanied youth. Title I HOPE assists with school enrollment, coordinates breakfast and lunch at school, provides backpacks filled with school supplies and toiletries, help with clothing needs, and provides transportation to school, among other services.
