Emory Conference Center Hotel Receives Successful Meetings Magazine's Prestigious Pinnacle Award

ATLANTA, June 24, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Emory Conference Center Hotel is receiving one of the highest recognitions in the Meetings and Incentive Industry, the coveted Pinnacle Award presented annually by Successful Meetings Magazine. Emory Conference Center Hotel, which is Atlanta's first LEED-Silver Certified sustainable Conference Center Hotel, is being recognized for its unwavering commitment to excellence in hospitality and service. The designation is bestowed following a vote by meeting and event planners who are asked to submit the properties they think are the most responsive and best at meeting their extremely demanding hospitality standards.

The Emory Conference Center Hotel completed a major renovation of its International Association of Conference Centers (IACC) meeting facility in 2012. The extensive renovation of the 32,000 square foot meeting facility included the rebuilding of the 240 seat Emory auditorium/amphitheater and the 74 seat Oak amphitheater, as well as updating its state-of- the-art multimedia connections and wireless internet. In addition, all of the Conference Center meeting space including the ballroom was refurbished with new carpeting, soundproof wall coverings, new breakout areas for refreshments, and new restrooms.

"We are truly honored to be receiving the Pinnacle Award," said Kathryn Johnson, General Manager, Emory Conference Center Hotel. "On behalf of all of our hard working Associates who are dedicated to excellent guest service, we sincerely appreciate this acknowledgement and are motivated by the ongoing support of our guests. Thank you," added Ms. Johnson
