Context Matters Makes Key Hires in Analytics and Technology

NEW YORK, July 1, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Context Matters announces two key hires to enhance its data, technology and analytics platform product. Kermit E. Daniel, Ph.D. assumes the role of Chief Analytics Officer, while Travis Donia assumes the role of Director of Technology.

"The addition of Kermit to our full time staff represents our increased commitment to give our customers even greater analytical tools to view pharmaceutical and biotechnology drug development and reimbursement data in more strategically insightful ways," said Yin Ho, MD, MBA, founder and CEO of Context Matters. "Formerly an advisor to Context Matters, Kermit's role will be to broaden our analytical scope of capabilities to be embedded within our application while continuing to provide pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies with an experience that answers their strategic questions and gives them the tools to ask even better ones."

Dr. Daniel has many years of experience as a strategy consultant, first with The Monitor Group and later with Katzenbach Partners and Cadent Partners. He also served as the Vice President of Financial Strategy and Budget at the University of Chicago and was an Assistant Professor at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Daniel earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Kansas and M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in economics from the University of Chicago.

"With Travis joining Context Matters, our technological capabilities have significantly increased such that our clients are trying to keep up with our development, rather than needing to express the need for new functions," continued Dr. Ho. "Travis' creativity and out-of-the-box thinking is helping Context Matters to set the industry standard in healthcare analytics software and how to ensure data integrity in a world obsessed with Big Data insights."

Prior to joining Context Matters, Travis held critical positions at The Daily Voice and iNDELIBLE media, in addition to providing web application design and coding in a variety of contexts, including online newsrooms, automated music licensing, market-making platforms for investors, connected television interfaces and online recipe tools.

Context Matters offers a unique and innovative data-driven software platform which allows customers and users to understand the risk and value of their products by accessing and analyzing complex data that has never before been quantified or aggregated in a manner designed to answer the most pertinent questions facing the pharma/biotech industry today.
