Duval & Stachenfeld LLP Announces the Addition of Real Estate Partner Randy Eckers

NEW YORK, July 16, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Duval & Stachenfeld LLP – The Pure Play in Real Estate Law – announced the addition of new partner, Randy Eckers, to its Real Estate Practice Group.

Bruce M. Stachenfeld, co-founder and managing partner of the Firm, stated that, "In keeping with our Real Estate Pure Play model, we are working hard to build out our real estate finance practice, and Randy is a perfect acquisition for us. In addition to being a great all-around real estate finance attorney, Randy is one of a very few lawyers with deep experience in the trading of subordinate debt. This is becoming a very hot area for many of our clients, especially among financial institutions, which often purchase, sell and finance these instruments."

Randy's background – in addition to mezzanine trading work – includes representing financial institutions in the acquisition and disposition of GNMA and FNMA securities, participation interests in FHA- and RHS-insured loans, mortgage loans, loan portfolios, syndicated notes, and B notes, and the origination of mortgage and mezzanine loans.

Randy commented: "Of course, I am happy to have joined Duval & Stachenfeld's 50-attorney real estate practice in New York. However, of more importance is that this is the perfect place for my clients. In addition to providing all of the backup I could want, the Firm's enormous client base is extremely well connected and this has already resulted in new opportunities for my clients. They are really happy about my move."

Terri Adler, co-founder of the Firm and chair of the Real Estate Practice Group, stated, "Our Pure Play goal is for us to be able to handle any real estate matter of any degree of complexity and type anywhere in the world. Randy is a solid step in this direction."

Prior to joining Duval & Stachenfeld LLP, Randy was Of Counsel in Greenberg Traurig's White Plains office.
