Tenex Health Receives CE Marking for the TX1 System -- A Pioneering Therapy for Tendon Pain

LAKE FOREST, Calif., July 24, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Tenex Health Inc., a medical device company pioneering a minimally invasive treatment for tendon pain, announced it has received CE Marking for the company's TX System.

"The TX System has enjoyed tremendous clinical and commercial success in the US since its introduction in 2012. The CE Marking is an important milestone in allowing the company to provide our revolutionary therapy to patients on a global basis. We have already received strong interest from physicians around the world who wish to deliver our technology to countless patients who suffer from tendon pain. We are finalizing our strategic plan to commence our commercial launch in select markets outside the United States," said Jagi Gill, Founder and CEO of Tenex Health.

The TX System has been used to treat over 6,000 patients to date. Clinical results have demonstrated both compelling safety and meaningful clinical outcomes, with approximately 90% of patients documenting pain-free results and a return to full activity within weeks of treatment. The TX system has also proven to be cost effective, as patients are treated in an outpatient setting under local anesthesia in 20 minutes or less and with no additional need for physical therapy or other medical treatment.

About Tenex Health, Inc.

Tenex Health, Inc. (www.tenexhealth.com) (www.tenexhealthpatient.com) develops and markets innovative therapies for the treatment of tendon pain due to trauma or repetitive motion injuries. The minimally invasive technique utilizes the company's proprietary TX MicroTipTM handpiece to cut and debride diseased tissue in an outpatient setting in under 20 minutes, using only a local anesthetic. Since the surrounding healthy tendon tissue is not disturbed, patients enjoy less discomfort and faster recovery times versus traditional open surgical procedures.
