MacAulay-Brown, Inc. Receives ISO 20000 Service Management Certification

Integrated ISO 9001, ISO 20000, ITIL and CMMI Level 3 Certifications Demonstrate Company's Leadership in IT Service Management, Quality and Industry Best Practices

DAYTON, Ohio, Sept. 16, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), a leading National Security company providing innovative engineering and technical solutions to Defense, Intelligence, Homeland Security and Federal agencies, announced today that it has successfully earned the International Organization for Standardization (ISO)/International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 20000-1:2011 certification. The certification demonstrates MacB's commitment to deliver superior IT managed services to customers and business partners.

Improving IT processes is increasingly becoming a key requirement for doing business with the Department of Defense (DoD) and many government agencies. In response, MacB has adopted an Integrated Standards Model that includes ISO 9001, ISO 20000, IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL®) and Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Level 3 certifications and best practices. As a standards-based organization, the company demonstrates that it is committed to being a leader in innovation, achieving differentiation and creating a culture of continual improvement.

"More and more, we are seeing certification compliance as a condition for doing business with the Government," said Sid Fuchs, President and CEO of MacB. "Today's announcement not only provides independent verification that we are a qualified leader in delivering IT services, but also shows that we hold ourselves to the highest standards when it comes to what we deliver to our customers."

Pittsburgh, Pa.-based SRI Quality System Registrar conducted an extensive audit to ensure that MacB's processes were adequately documented, fully implemented and based on rigorous policies, procedures and work instructions. To ensure continued compliance, the company will be subject to annual surveillance audits and is required to be recertified every three years.

"As an IT organization, we are dedicated to delivering high quality, scalable and reliable services to our key stakeholders," said Mia Kerivan-O'Malley, MacB's Chief Information Officer. "Achieving the ISO 20000 certification, in addition to the other certifications we hold, reflects the hard work and dedication of the entire MacB IT team and commitment by the senior leadership team to provide the resources necessary to ensure the highest level of customer service."

ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011 is a service management system (SMS) standard. It specifies requirements for the service provider to plan, establish, implement, operate, monitor, review, maintain and improve an SMS. The requirements include the design, transition, delivery and improvement of services to fulfill agreed service requirements.
