Terry Kramer Appointed Chairman of Envivio Board of Directors


SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., Oct. 2, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Envivio (Nasdaq:ENVI), a leading provider of software-based video processing and delivery solutions, today announced that Terry D. Kramer has been appointed Chairman of Envivio's board of directors. Mr. Kramer, a telecommunications executive and former United States ambassador for the World Conference on International Telecommunications (WCIT), has served on Envivio's board since May 2011.

Mr. Kramer served in a variety of executive roles for Vodafone Group/Airtouch Communications during his 18-year tenure with the company, including group strategy and business improvement director and regional president, Vodafone Americas, overseeing Vodafone's investment in Verizon Wireless and its venture capital activities.

As WCIT ambassador, in 2012, Mr. Kramer was responsible for negotiating an Internet and telecom treaty on behalf of the United States that focused on ensuring a free and open Internet, avoiding cybersecurity threats, and accelerating broadband access in markets around the world.

He has also advised growing technology companies, including as CEO of QComm International and board member for Fiber Tower, 724 Solutions and Sonim Technologies. Currently, he is a lecturer and faculty advisor at the UCLA Anderson School of Management and was an entrepreneur in residence at the Harvard Business School from 2011 to 2013.
