Announcing the Winners of the 2013 U.K. Candidate Experience Awards

Second Annual Awards Recognise Those Organisations That Provide Job Candidates With Outstanding Recruiting, Screening and Hiring Experiences

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwired - Feb 27, 2014) - The Candidate Experience Awards, a non-profit organisation focused on advancing the employment candidate experience, announced the winners of the second annual U.K. Candidate Experience Awards (known as "the CandE Awards"). Fifteen companies were honoured and celebrated as winners at the second annual CandE Awards Announcement and Reception for upholding a high standard for how they engage and treat job candidates.

"Positive recruiting and hiring practices are key differentiators for employers working to engage and retain job candidates, and this year's programme proved just how important the experience is to employers and candidates alike in the current job market," remarked Elaine Orler, chairman of the Talent Board, founding organisation of The Candidate Experience Awards. "We saw tremendous interest in the 2013 Candidate Experience Awards, collecting responses from 29 companies and nearly 3000 job candidates who applied for positions at those companies. We are thrilled to honour the winning organisations and recognise their continued commitment to the candidates."

Open to employers that recruit in the British employment marketplace, the U.K. CandE Awards consists of three rounds of review designed to identify organisations that meet candidate expectations and provide value to job seekers throughout the talent acquisition process. All participating organisations receive benchmarking data that will allow them to compare their candidate experience against an aggregate of all the entrants.

Organisations that met criteria for a positive candidate experience in the employer and candidate survey round of the evaluation process were awarded a "CandE Award Winner" designation stamp. Those identified implementing innovative or stand out practices throughout the recruiting cycle were named "With Distinction." All honourees were celebrated at a special ceremony held at The Brewery in London on 25 February, 2014.
